Winter Term 2023 News and Info

Welcome to Winter Term 2023!  Here are important things to remember:  

• Winter Term Dates: 1/2/2023 – 3/23/2023
• Spring Break is 3/26 – 4/1
• Winter Term Recital is 3/4 at either 11am or 1:00pm at Friendly Street Church (FSC). Sign-up sheets will be available mid February.
• Beginner/Intermediate level violin group class every other week from 5:30-6:00pm at FSC on these dates: 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 3/6. Students must be able to maneuver violin from rest position to play position independently. Parents are welcome to stay and observe, wait in a nearby room, or remain in the car in the parking lot.
• Beginner/intermediate level piano and violin group class every other week for note reading, music history, and music theory class every other week from 6:00-6:30pm at FSC on these dates: 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 3/6. Parents are welcome to stay and observe, wait in a nearby room, or remain in the car in the parking lot.
• Violin Ensemble (advanced invite-only violin group) meets at FSC on these dates: 1/16, 1/30, 2/13, 2/27, 3/13.
• Parent/guardian online note reading and practice education session: Friday 2/3 6:00-7:00pm. This is for parents of both violin and piano students. There will be handouts made available online or in person beforehand.
